Mario Carpentieri is a Full Professor of Electrical Engineering at the Politecnico di Bari and currently serves as Vice Rector for Research. His research focuses on micromagnetic modeling of spintronic nanostructured materials and devices, including microwave nano-oscillators and diodes based on spin-transfer torque and spin–orbit effects. He is co-inventor of three patents and co-author of more than 165 publications in leading international journals (Nature Nanotechnology, Nature Communications, Nature Electronics, Physical Review Letters). He is also a co-founder of a start-up in parallel computing. Prof. Mossa is Rector Delegate for Continuing Education, and vice director of the PhD Program on ‘Management Engineering’ at the Polytechnic University of Bari. His main research topics are design and management of industrial systems and supply chains, circular economy in industry, sustainable logistics and human performance modeling. Emilio Ferrari is Full Professor in Industrial Plants and Logistics at the University of Bologna with interest in Industry 4.0 innovations. He has held this position since 2000, having previously served as Assistant Professor at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia from 1998 to 2000. He served as Director of the Department of Industrial Engineering (ex DIEM) from 2007 to 2009, Dean of the Master Degree in Management Engineering from 2009 to 2015, and Deputy Rector of Alma Mater Studiorum – University of Bologna from 2011 to 2017. He also served as President of CINECA, the non-profit consortium providing digital services to Italian universities, CNR, and the Ministry of University and Research. His research focuses on industrial plant design and management, supply chain and operations, warehouse logistics, and Industry 4.0, with an extensive list of international publications. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Marino Golinelli Foundation. Joaquín Ordieres Meré is Full Professor at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid with expertise in AI, Industry 4.0, Knowledge Management and Lean. Francesco Paolo Sisto is an Attorney and Cassation Lawyer from Bari, specializing in criminal liability and workplace health and safety law. He graduated in Law at the University of Bari in 1977/78, obtained his bar admission in 1987 and qualification as Cassation Lawyer in 1995. Since 1994, he has collaborated with the Politecnico di Bari as contract professor on topics including criminal liability of engineers, environmental impact assessment, and occupational safety law, and held an official course at the Faculties of Mechanical and Management Engineering on workplace health and safety from 1998 to 2010, co-financed by the European Commission under a Jean Monnet Project. He has been a member of an interdisciplinary research group at Politecnico di Bari since 2004 and has taught in second-level Master programmes in Safety Engineering. In 2024, he chaired the Ministerial Commission for the reform of workplace prevention and safety legislation at the Italian Ministry of Justice. Marco Sartor is Full Professor at the University of Udine with expertise in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing and Operations Management. He obtained his PhD in Industrial and Information Engineering from the University of Udine in 2007, where he progressed from researcher to Associate Professor and, since October 2024, to Full Professor. His scientific output includes 50 international publications with an h-index of 22 (Scopus) and over 1,600 citations, including 37 articles in leading journals such as the International Journal of Production Economics, the International Journal of Operations and Production Management, and Production Planning & Control. He served as President of the European Decision Sciences Institute (EDSI) in 2018 and Vice President of the Decision Sciences Institute (DSI) from 2023 to 2024. He holds one patent for an anti-counterfeiting product traceability system, awarded at Start Cup 2008.
