Survey on Higher Education in Industrial Engineering and Management (IE&M)

Skills are key drivers to support the competitiveness of European economies mainly in an unprecedent worldwide geo-political and trade current situations.

Industry is currently facing a big challenge: on one hand the adoption of AI-based technologies in industrial processes promises to gain competitiveness; on the other hand, classical skills are still required when using AI for critical evaluation of reliability of results obtained by AI.

Designing higher education reveals a complex issue to be properly addressed.

In such a scenario, Academia is asked to provide the right competence in educating and up/re-skilling human capital for companies’ competitiveness.

The Gap/Need Analysis resulting from the Survey will provide academia and industry with a clear picture of both classical and AI-related IE&M topics for innovating or planning new academic / vocational programs consistent with industry needs.

University Professors and Master level Students in IE&M as well as Companies’ representatives are kindly invited contribute to the Survey by filling out one of the questionnaires below.
